The AA Member: Medications & Other Drugs

We recognize that alcoholics are not immune to other diseases. Because of the problems many alcoholics have with medication, some members have adopted the position that no one in AA should take any kind of medication. While this position has undoubtedly prevented relapses for some, it has spelled disaster for others. Through the testimonies of members, the importance of the issue that affects many recovering alcoholics is highlighted.
